Our Firm Profile

Within the legal community of Orange County, the name Nick Yocca is both well known and respected.

Today his sons Nicholas J. Yocca and Mark Yocca, and their partner Paul Kim are continuing Nick Yocca’s legacy of legal excellence at Irvine-based The Yocca Law Firm LLP.

“We learned a lot from Dad’s example,” says Nicholas J. Yocca. “His main lesson to us has always been that working hard is more important than luck.” The Yocca brothers seemed to have learned their lessons well. Both Yocca brothers were class valedictorians and National Merit Scholars out of Dana Hills High School in Dana Point. Now The Yocca Law Firm is listed within five practice areas in The Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers and has received the AV Preeminent rating, the highest possible rating of Martindale-Hubbell, the most trusted source of ratings of attorneys, based on the opinions of their peers.

All three of the partners at The Yocca Law Firm began their impressive careers within sizable firms. The partners have distinguished themselves by offering their clients the professional expertise of a large firm, along with the personal touch and cost effectiveness of a smaller firm. A full-service transactional and business litigation law firm, The Yocca Law Firm takes great pride in providing premier service to its clients. “We formed the firm to provide the highest quality service,” says Mark Yocca. “What we offer is exceptional service at a more reasonable cost than your metropolitan law firms.”

The Yocca Law Firm has successfully litigated with, and against, the largest multi-national firms. Indeed, The Yocca Law Firm’s lawyers have received published opinions from the California Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and other courts.

The Yocca Law Firm specializes in business and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, intellectual property, employment and many other areas. The firm’s litigation expertise includes such complex business litigation matters as intellectual property disputes, unfair competition claims, employment litigation and securities litigation.

Nicholas J. Yocca’s areas of expertise include corporate governance, corporate securities law, corporate finance, private financing, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, tender offers, business formation, emerging growth companies, strategic alliances, employment, technology licensing and commercial transactions.

Mark Yocca leads the firm’s business litigation department. An experienced business trial lawyer, Mark has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts across the country, including courts in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, New York, Nevada, Texas and Washington, D.C. Mark’s extensive experience also includes representing clients in matters pending before federal and state government agencies, including the California Department of Corporations, the United States Department of Labor, and the State Bar of California.

Paul Kim’s practice areas include employment law, intellectual property, real property, securities, products liability and public law. Paul is also active in the Korean American community and has served on the board of directors of the Orange County Korean American Bar Association.
